“The ocean’s health is in deep trouble, but with SDG 14 we do have a plan.”
Global Collaboration
Oceanic Research Institute is highly collaborative: working with universities, research organisations and leading scientists around the world. We recognise the research specialties of our Ocean research colleagues, help to complement their programs where possible, and focus creatively on our own unique strengths and operational advantages. All our data will be stored on open source repositories, available free to all researchers. If you are an ocean or climate-focused organisation seeking to partner with or support oceanic research, please get in touch with us.
UN SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals
Goal 17 seeks to strengthen global partnerships to support and achieve the ambitious targets of the 2030 Agenda, bringing together national governments, the international community, civil society, the private sector and others. Despite advances in some areas, more needs to be done to accelerate progress. All stakeholders will have to refocus and intensify their efforts on areas where progress has been slow. SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 14 (Life below Water) have been slow and we must “raise the ambition” in these areas.
